Dit stuk werd geïnspireerd door verhaaltjes die steeds in de geest van de componist ronddwalen. Naast de instrumentale versie is er ook een versie met koorinterventies in optie. Het koor heeft meer een instrumentale rol en moet elk verhaal identificeren.

Contos da Lua Nova (New Moon Tales) is inspired by stories always present in the composer's mind. Some of them marked his childhood, others are part of his cultural range as an adult. In this ouverture the composer wanted to reaffirm the child inside of each grown-up, reinventing each story with instrumental resources.Besides the instrumental version, this piece was conceived having choral interventions, optionally. The choral works more like an instrument, having the function of identifying each story.
