Bekend is de legendarische uitvoering door Louis Armstrong met Duke Ellington (1899-1974) op de fameuze Great Reunion plaat in april 1961 in New York opgenomen.

Dieses bekannte Jazzstück von Mills und Ellington gehörte zum Standardrepertoire des Duke Ellington Orchesters. Der vollständige Titel lautet It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing.
