Zing mij, o Muze, het verhaal van die man die jarenlang rondzwierf luidt de eerste regel van het beroemde epos van Homerus, de Odyssee, en tevens de eerste tekst van het koor in Alex Poelmans tweede symfonie. Dit werk voor concert band en koor bestaat uit drie delen van vijftien minuten elk, en beschrijft gedeeltes uit Odysseus' beroemdste avonturen zodat de ontmoeting met de Cycloop en de mooie Sirenen.

Tell them the story of that man, who wandered for years.These are the first lines of Homer's most famous epos, the Odyssey, and the first lyrics of the choir in Alex Poelman's second symphony. This symphony for concert band and choir consists of three movements, each fifteen minutes long. It depicts passages from Odysseus' most famous adventures like the encounter with the one-eyed giant and the beautiful Sirens.
