Bruckner's motets for mixed Choir's a Cappella enjoys great popularity. Most of these motets have been the language of the late symphonies of Bruckner's ancestors. They work very well the ingenious but simple harmonies, and partially subtle counterpoint. Among the Bruckner motets are mainly the Ave Maria, Os justi and Locus iste, the best known.
