Dit spannende stuk is oorspronkelijk geschreven voor de Band of the Welsh Guards en is gebaseerd op de melodie 'David of the white rock'. De muziek begint met een fanfare die later in contrapunt met het hoofdthema wordt gebruikt. Er zijn kleine fragmenten van andere Welshe melodieën die sterk naar voren kwamen toen het stuk op 1 maart 2024 in première ging in de Guards Chapel om St David's day te vieren.

Originally written for the Band of the Welsh Guards, this exciting piece is based on the tune, David of the white rock'. The music begins with a fanfare which is later used in counterpoint with the main theme. There are small extracts of other Welsh melodies which proved a strong feature when the piece was premiered on March 1st 2024 at Guards Chapel to celebrate St David's day.

Écrite à l'origine pour le Band of the Welsh Guards, cette pièce passionnante est basée sur l'air « David of the white rock » (David du rocher blanc). La musique commence par une fanfare qui est ensuite utilisée en contrepoint avec le thème principal. Il y a de petits extraits d'autres mélodies galloises qui se sont révélées être un élément important lors de la création de la pièce le 1er mars 2024 à la chapelle des gardes pour célébrer la fête de la Saint David.
