Kamar Und Badur (German Text) Enrico Tiso

This is the fairy tale known as 'Prince Kamar and Princess Budur,' taken from A Thousand and One Nights. The text is a synthesis of three stories contained in the collection, specifically: The Tale of Prince Qamar Az-Zamàn, The Tale of the Fairy Maymunah and the Genie Dahnash, and the Tail of Marzawan.

The music includes 23 pieces; some are short interludes, which serve as passages between one scene and another, while others are larger and more elaborate pieces that describe parts of the tale. The main themes are often reprised and varied. Text/music overlays are limited to a few interventions.
