The composer Horst Jankowski was a classically trained German pianist, but became most successful for his easy listening music, and achieved international fame in 1965 vith his famous pop piece A Walk in the Black Forest, known in his homeland as Schwarzwaldfahrt.
The popular and swinging instrumental tune was covered by many artists including Herb Alpert. This arrangement is close to Herb Alpert's recording, with some extra harmonies and a different intro and ending.
