Crunch Time! James Swearingen

The Barnhouse Command Series includes works at grade levels 2, 2.5, and 3. This series is designed for middle school and junior high school bands, as well as high school bands of smaller instrumentation or limited experience. Command Series publications have a slightly larger instrumentation than the Rising Band Series, and are typically of larger scope, duration, and musical content.

When it's hip to be cool, this is the piece that both you and all your students will want to play over and over again. Crunch Time is the perfect selection for an concert, school assembly, or that occasional athletic pep rally. Your percussionists will delight in the myriad of sounds required for this work and you can be assured that the scoring for brass and woodwinds is extremely solid from top to bottom. You might just want to consider saving it for the end of practice so as to insure that your young musicians will be exiting the rehearsal hall with huge smiles on their faces. A solid candidate for band favorite!
