The piece describes the fictional story of an adventurer, who, whilst on the search for treasure, stumbles across the vampire Nosferatu. Freed from his grave, Nosferatu brings plague and disgrace upon the country. The adventurer seeks Nosferatu out and a fight ensues in which Nosferatu is overcome. Finally imprisoned in his grave again, peace falls over the land. Nosferatu is forgotten until the next adventurer frees him from his crypt.
