Olympic Fire was written to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Windband Tirol. Through the festive opening fanfare about sports, mountains and valleys, the music moves through the various instrument sections. One time it's the woodwinds with the horns, and then a solo flute or trumpet alternating with tutti passages.

Olympic Fire werd in opdracht van het Blasmusikverband Tirol ter ere van het 70-jarig bestaan geschreven. Via de feestelijke openingsfanfare over sporten in bergen en dalen beweegt de muziek zich constant door de verschillende instrumentengroepen: De ene keer zijn het de houtblazers met de hoorns, dan weer een solofluit of een trompet die afgewisseld worden door tuttipassages.

Olympic Fire était écrit à la commande du Blasmusikverband Tirol à l'occasion de leur 70ième anniversaire. La musique commence par une ouverture célébrant les sports de la montagne, et bouge ensuite parmi tous les groupes d'instruments : en allant des bois et des cors, en passant par la flûte solo ou la trompette, en alternance avec des passages tutti.
