Song of India is taken from the opera Sadko (in seven scenes), composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakoff in 1896. Song of India is the only well-known aria from this opera. Many transcriptions of this piece have been made, both vocal and instrumental. Willy Hautvast arranged this version for band. Percussion parts include an optional one for drums.
