Ze zijn vaak heel klein en onopvallend - de zaden van een plant. Sommige vallen gewoon op de grond, andere worden meegenomen door dieren of de wind. In het begin is hun lot onzeker: ze belanden op rotsachtige grond, hebben te weinig licht of te weinig water, de temperatuur is niet goed of de juiste voedingsstoffen ontbreken. Pas als hun reis ze naar een geschikte plek brengt, begint het wonder en kan er iets groots uit groeien.

Het is hetzelfde met een idee...

Wind Of Withering was het winnende werk van de internationale compositiewedstrijd VLAMO 2024 (België). In tegenstelling tot de ingezonden versie is er een tweede fluitpartij, wat een uitvoering zonder hobo mogelijk maakt.

They are often very small and inconspicuous - the seeds of a plant. Some simply fall to the ground, others are carried away by animals or the wind. At the beginning, their fate is uncertain: they land on rocky ground, have too little light or too little water, the temperature is not right or the right nutrients are missing. Only when their journey takes them to a suitable place does the miracle begin and something great can grow from them.

It is the same with an idea...

Wind Of Withering was the winning work of the international VLAMO composition competition 2024 (Belgium). In contrast to the submitted version, there is a second flute part, which allows a performance without an oboe.

Elles sont souvent très petites et discrètes, les graines d'une plante. Certaines tombent simplement sur le sol, d'autres sont emportées par les animaux ou le vent. Au début, leur destin est incertain : elles atterrissent sur un sol rocailleux, ont trop peu de lumière ou trop peu d'eau, la température n'est pas bonne ou les bons nutriments manquent. Ce n'est que lorsque leur voyage les mène à un endroit approprié que le miracle commence et que quelque chose de grand peut croître à partir d'eux.

Il en va de même pour une idée...

Wind Of Withering est l'uvre gagnante du concours international de composition VLAMO 2024 (Belgique). Contrairement à la version soumise, il y a une deuxième partie de flûte, ce qui permet une exécution sans hautbois.
