Der erfolgreiche Marsch wurde bereits vom Blasorchester Walter Schacht im Bayerischen Rundfunk aufgenommen.

Willi Löffler ging bei dem internationalen Marsch-Wettbewerb in der Königlichen Militärschule für Musik in der Londoner Kneller-Hall im April 1955 unter 605 Bewerbern als Sieger hervor.
Seine Komposition wurde mit dem ersten Preis ausgezeichnet.
