Gene Raskin, geboren als Eugene Raskin, war ein amerikanischer Musiker, Theaterautor und Autor des englischen Textes des ursprünglich russischen Liedes "Those were the Days". Er schrieb außerdem drei Bücher über Architektur und war Hilfs-Professor in Columbia (1936-1976). Er verstarb im Juli 2004, im Alter von 94 Jahren, in Manhattan.
