Bovet Joseph geb. in Sâles, Fribourg, 7. Oktober 1879, Clarens, Waadt, 10. Februar 1951. Nach der Priesterweihe im Jahr 1905 lebte er als Volksliedsammler, höchsterfolgreicher Pädagoge und Chordirigent, aber auch als Komponist in der romanischen Schweiz.
