Faillenot Maurice geb. in Troyes, Frankreich, 10. Juni 1920. Er studierte Klarinette bei Eugène Gay, Harmonielehre bei René Delaunay, Kontrapunkt bei Pierre Lantier und Komposition bei René Berthelin. Als Professor gehört er dem Lehrkörper der Musikschule in Troyes an, 1947 bis 1981 dirigierte er die Stadtkapelle in Troyes.
