*Bree, Belgium, 25 March 1981. He studied piano, organ, saxophone and harmony at the North Limburg Conservatory in Neerpelt until 1999, then at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, from which he graduated in 2004 with a Master of Music degree in both piano and composition, and where he has since been a lecturer in composition and music theory. His teachers have included Raphaël D'Haene (composition), Norbert Nozy and Van Den Broeck (conducting).
