Del Borgo Elliot A. geb. in Port Chester, New York, 27. Oktober 1938. Er studierte am University College in Potsdam, New York, an der Temple University sowie am Philadelphia Conservatory (bei V. Persichetti und G.Johnson); Promotion 1973. Del Borgo war seit 1966 Professor an der Carne School of Music of the State university of New York in Potsdam tätig.
Elliot del Borgo, in Port Chester, New York, geboren, schloß sein Studium an der State University of New York als B.A. ab, erhielt sein M.Ed.-Diplom von der Temple University und machte den M.M.-Abschluß am Philadelphia Conservatory, wo er Musiktheorie und Komposition bei Vincent Persichetti und Trompete bei Gilbert Johnson studierte. Del Borgo lehrte Instrumentalmusik an staatlichen Schulen in Philadelphia und ist zur Zeit Professor emeritus der State University of New York. Als Preisträger und Mitglied der ASCAP fungiert er häufig als Berater, Workshopleiter, Lektor und Preisrichter und ist außerdem als Band- und Orchesterdirigent bekannt.
