Jacob Gordon Percival Septimus
Geboren in London, 5. Juli 1895, +Saffron Walden, Cambs, Großbritannien, 8. Juni 1984. Jacob studierte am Royal College of Music in London bei Stanford, Vaughan Williams, Boult und Howells und unterrichtete 1924 bis 1954 Komposition in diesem Institut. Daneben dirigierte er die Royal Amateur Orchestra Society und wurde 1968 zum Commander of the British Empire ernannt. In seinem umfangreichen kompositorischen Schaffen nehmen Werke für Blasorchester nur den geringeren Teil ein.
