Bullock Jack A. (Pseudonym Paul Cook) geb. in Syracuse, New York, 7. Juni 1929. Er studierte am Ithaca College sowie an der University of Miami, wo er 1974 zum Dr. phil. promovierte. Nach dreizehnjähriger Tätigkeit an öffentlichen Schulen in New York wurde er zum Professor für Musikpädagogik am Ithaca College bestellt. Zugleich übernahm er die Leitung der Instrumentalmusikabteilung im Verlag Columbia Pictures, 1985 zum Vizepräsidenten gewählt.
