Everaarts Mathieu geb. in Maastricht, 31. März 1915, ebda., 18. März 1978. Als Saxophonist gehörte er verschiedenen Unterhaltungs-und Tanzorchestern sowie für kurze Zeit einem Orchester der deutschen Wehrmacht in Berlin an. Seit 1960 erschienen von ihm Blasorchesterkompositionen, in denen er Techniken und Klänge der jazz verwandten Popularmusik verarbeitete.
