Ciro Dammicco (Zacar) composer

Ciro Dammicco has started his career as a musician and a composer in the early 70s. He was the founder and the leader of Daniel Sentacruz Ensemble band with which he reached the international charts with a song called “Soleado”, selling more than 2 000 000 copies. As a composer, he achieved fame around the world with his most well-known song “When a Child is Born”, which hit number one on almost every music-chart in the globe. Moreover, it was sold in 50 million copies.



Ciro’s songs were interpreted by such artists as Johnny Mathis, Mirelle Mathieu, Kenny Rogers, Bing Crosby, Demis Roussos, Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo, Al Bano Romina Power, Charles Aznavour, Placido Domingo, Sarah Brightman, and many more.
