Hull Grant, geborein in Ely, Nevada, 28. August 1928. Er studierte am Pomona und am Claremont College, wo er 1951 zum Master of Arts graduierte. Danach unterrichtete er an verschiedenen Schulen, bis er 1954 als Lehrer nach Stockton, Kalifornien, kam; 1981 in Ruhe.
