A prolific composer/arranger for orchestras and bands in this country and abroad, John Cacavas has had enormous exposure to mass audiences, having scored over 400 one-hour TV shows, 50 television movies, and 15 feature films. A native of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Mr. Cacavas established his musical identy throughout his college years and graduated from Northwestern University with a drgree in composition and theory. He joined the armed forces after college, serving as an arranger with the renowned United States Army Band in Washington, DC. He has also published two books, "Orchestration and Music Arranging" and "The Art of Writing Music".
