*Shrewbury, Pennsylvania, 14. Juni 1867, +Union, New Jersey, 29. Dezember 1946. Seitz arbeitete als Drucker in Glen Rock, wo er sich der lokalen Blaskapelle anschloss. 1898 erwarb er den Bachelor's Titel am Dana's Music Institute in Warren, Ohio. Er kehrte als Musiklehrer nach Glen Rock zurück, dirigierte dort die Blaskapelle und gründete einen Musikverlag, der später an die Southern Music Company of Texas überging. Von seinen Märschen erlangten besondere Popularität: "Brooke's Triumphal", "Grandioso" (1909/1951; bearb. Reed, Southern; bearb. Moffit, Hal Leonard 1974), "Salutation".
