*Danville, Illinois, 24. Dezember 1937, +Columbus, South Carolina, 11. Mai 2004. Er studierte an der University of Illinois bei Mark Hindsley, Haskell Sexton und Gordon Binkerd sowie privat Trompete bei Adolph Herseth in Chicago. 1961 trat er in die US Marine Band ein, wo er bis 1985 als Chef-Arrangeur tätig war.
